Things you should know about golf in Okinawa

Okinawa is the southernmost prefecture in the country, with Tokyo (Haneda) and Okinawa (Naha) separated by about 1,550 km. In warm land throughout the year, even in the middle of winter, it does not drop below 10 degrees. On the other hand, summer is not too hot, and it is a golf paradise where you can enjoy comfortable play while being surrounded by the refreshing breeze blowing from the sea. The golf course is centered on the main island of Okinawa, where Naha Airport is located, and there are also highly reputed courses on Miyakojima and Obama Island.

Okinawa has one airport managed by the government (Naha Airport) and 12 airports managed by the prefecture (Miyako Airport, Ishigaki Airport, etc.). There are golf courses on remote islands, but basically you can access the golf course by car from Naha Airport. Taxis are too expensive, so it's better to rent a car. From the Naha Airport Expressway, enter the Okinawa Expressway and head to the golf course at your destination.
