Okinawa is the southernmost prefecture in the country, with Tokyo (Haneda) and Okinawa (Naha) separated by about 1550 kilometers. In warm land throughout the year, even in the middle of winter, it does not drop below 10 degrees. On the other hand, summer is not too hot, and it is a golf paradise where you can enjoy comfortable play while being surrounded by the refreshing breeze blowing from the sea. The golf course is centered on the main island of Okinawa, where Naha Airport is located, and there are also highly reputed courses on Miyakojima and Obama Island.
Okinawa has one airport managed by the government (Naha Airport) and 12 airports managed by the prefecture (Miyako Airport, Ishigaki Airport, etc.). There are golf courses on remote islands, but basically you can access the golf course by car from Naha Airport. Taxis are too expensive, so it's better to rent a car. From the Naha Airport Expressway, enter the Okinawa Expressway and head to the golf course at your destination.
Most of the golf courses in Okinawa have a view of the sea from the course, but the most popular one is Palm Hills Golf Resort Club, which is located about 30 minutes from Naha Airport. You can enjoy a round with a panoramic view of the city of Itoman City and the beautiful sea of Okinawa. About 40 minutes from Naha Airport, Ocean Castle Country Club is located on a hill with views of both the Pacific Ocean and the East China Sea, allowing you to play in a unique landscape that you won't find anywhere else.
